Gay Soccer Pro Robbie Rogers - Behind The Scenes Attitude Cover Shoot

Behind-the-scenes Attitude Cover Shoot, Robbie Rogers

Robbie Rogers Shows That Modeling Comes Easy for Him

If the soccer thing doesn't work out for Robbie Rogers in the long run, the LA Galaxy player should be able to segue right into a career as a model.

Rogers, 26, looked mighty comfortable in front of the camera during a recent cover shoot for Attitude Magazine. Virtually unknown 13 months ago, Rogers is now one of the most famous openly gay athletes in the world and he appears to be handling the attention with ease. Rogers plays for the Los Angeles Galaxy and is dating television producer Greg Berlanti. He is the cover subject of Attitude's April issue and talks about his brief retirement from the sport before returning and becoming the first openly gay player in the history of Major League Soccer.

‘My thing was that I was done and I was going to [come out] on my own terms, away from a football club,’ Rogers says. ‘I was going to take some time to myself and no-one was going to try and persuade me to do that while I was back in football and no one was going to persuade me to do it in any other way.’

England Football Team - World Cup 2010 Sexy Hunks

England World Cup 2010 Squad

Dubbed English football's ‘golden generation', only to fall flat at UEFA EURO 2004 and the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany™, South Africa 2010 may well be the last chance of international silverware for some of the most well-known faces in the world game.

However, he appointment of Fabio Capello appears to have brought fresh vigour to the Three Lions' squad, many of whom have a point to prove after lacklustre displays when it mattered most under Sven-Goran Eriksson and Steve McClaren. With the tournament due to take place in the South African winter, conditions which should suit the English players and style, so excuses will be at a premium should Wayne Rooney and Co fall short once more.

Harry Kewell - Politix Model, World Cup 2010 Sexy Hunk

Harry Kewell - Australia

The left-sided attacker burst onto the Australian football scene as a 17-year-old in 1996 and is arguably the most well-known Australian player of all-time. Mostly operates on the left side of midfield but he has also been used a striker. The technically gifted Kewell loves to take on defenders and provides the team with a genuine x-factor.

An extensive injury tally over the years has taken its toll on Kewell who has perhaps lost some acceleration off the mark. Now 31, he remains a key player for Australia not only for his on-field contribution but as a group leader with Kewell appointed captain by coach Pim Verbeek for several matches in Lucas Neill’s absence, including for the key FIFA World Cup™ qualifier against Asian champions Iraq. Kewell literally rising to the occasion by heading home the only goal of that match to secure an important 1-0 win en route to the second and final stage of qualification. Kewell scoring three goals during the qualification campaign across nine matches. ...
