Ed Cook
Ed Cook is also known as the old superman, at 54 years old he looks incredible and is ripped. The story is even better when you see what he looked like just six years ago (see his pic before he start bodybuilding), what an amazing difference! In 2002 Ed, at 243 pounds, was your typical middle-aged guy with a typical middle-aged waistline that greatly exceeded his chest size. If you ask about his inspiration? because of his doctor said to Ed, “Change your lifestyle or die young.” Ed took that seriously and then some! Ed first started to get himself in shape at 48 and walked out of the Doctors office, down deep inside his heart, he knew he was going to change his body forever. But yet he had no idea that it would lead to bodybuilding.
The biggest thing that helped to keep Ed motivated throughout your transformation? That is a tough question. There are times when he's prepping for a competition about a few weeks out, that he question himself "why am I doing this?" Yet, otherwise he's driven to improve in size and symmetry most of the time. His coach, Sean Calder is a real inspiration for him. Brandon Lyons was and still is his trainer and keeps Ed humble and drives beyond his own belief to do more!
