Call me maybe ! U.S. army in Afganistan got inspiration from dolphin cheerleader group's parody in the same mv. A group of fun-loving American soldiers in Afghanistan decided to make a spoof mocking the Miami Dolphin Cheerleaders, when they decided to out do them with their own Call Me Maybe video. Call Me Maybe by Carly-Rae Jepsen was turned into a music video by Dolphin cheerleaders, so the American soldiers decided to give them a run for their money with dance moves and lip synching making do with props from their Afghanistan base. My facebook friend showed me this its Hilarious!! Watch it all the way through ... I love the guy near the end on the steps in a little pink sarong ... he just does it too well! It's hard to believe that the Miami Dolphins cheerleaders could be outshone - but it looks like a group of fun-loving soldiers in Afghanistan might have done it.
'Watch how they match our video move for move! To all of our troops serving our country... Thank you from the Miami Dolphins Family.' At then end of their own three minute and eleven second clip, the soldiers wrote: 'To the Dolphins Cheerleaders, thank you for the inspiration. Your fans in Afghanistan.'
The Dolphnis original, choreographed clip has racked up more than 1.3 million views on YouTube - but the soldiers' version was gaining fast with 223,000 in under two weeks. It's not the first time that Canadian singer Carly-Rae's Call Me Maybe has been used for a comedy video send-up. The Harvard University baseball team racked up more than 11 million views after they uploaded their own take on the 'Call Me Maybe' while riding back from a game in the team's van.
Donald Trump's Miss USA contestants also did a version. According to the Dolphins cheerleaders' post on YouTube, the squad was in the Dominican Republic shooting the 2013 swimsuit calendar when 'we decided to have a little fun and make our own cover of Carly Rae's "Call Me Maybe."
